ABOUT HIS BACKGROUND
AFTER GRADUATING as Commercial Artist in 1974, Freddie spent the following years exploring various art styles and techniques and has already been described by various Art Lover and Art Investor as one of South Africa's versatile artists.
ABOUT HIS ARTWORK
AS A TRUE South African artist, Freddie draws his inspiration from his environment: things he sees and experiences. His paintings captures the way he views the world and is very much the essence of his inspiration.
FREDDIE REFUSES to be bound to one style or theme and is always exploring with new techniques to develop his own unique style and to have something very different in the market for people to enjoy and experience.
EVERY ARTWORK is a celebration of the beauty and wonder of God’s creation and will be a blessing to whoever owns them or wherever it may be displayed.
ABOUT HIS STYLE
ALWAYS EMBARKING on new styles and techniques, Freddie’s name is mostly linked to expressionistic flower pieces: he creates colourful, bold, fresh and unique works of art. He paints mainly in oils but sometimes uses acrylics as well. Freddie developed a unique sens of mixing and using colours on his background canvas and in his works of art.
FOR HIS ANIMAL creations, he prefers using genuine hide in stead of ordinary canvas, thus making full use of the natural texture it holds.
HE WELCOMES the challenge of commission work and embraces the feedback of satisfied customers as proof of his artistic talent.
ABOUT HIS PROFESSION
THROUGOUT HIS LIFE Freddie Skinner had a passion for art and an urge to use his artistic talent to His Glory and praise. He started his full time art career in 1999 and his works are since seen in private, corporate and commercial collections throughout South Africa, the United Kingdom, Australia and Europe.
AS A SELECTED Member of various national art associations, he started moving towards his career as professional Artist by representing himself at national level exhibitions and interior shows. The recognition and praise received, led him to pursue art as a fulltime career and as the main focal point of his life. His works are displayed in some of the country's top Art Galleries.
FREDDIE's MOTTO is to reach the highest position in the art industry through maintaining the best value for money at all times. In order to achieve this, he prefers to distribute and market his own art at a large scale with the added value that the client now buys art directly from the studio at studio prices.
